But my real education didn’t happen in training, it happened on a hospital bed during my son’s birth in 2021. Despite being a doula with years of experience, I was completely bulldozed by the system.
I realized then that if I could be silenced (a very passionate & sometimes sassy doula btw) the industry wasn’t just lacking.. it was failing women who were coming into this work expecting twinkle lights & vibes, but getting met with pushback & coercion.

What exactly do I walk away with when I graduate?

Is this a live training? When are the calls?
Innerbloom is designed for the modern woman, which means it is 100% self-paced and online. We provide live, biweekly mentorship and coaching calls to dive deep into real-world scenarios and business strategy. All calls are recorded, so your education never has to compete with your life.
Do I get lifetime access or will I have to recertify like other orgs?
Once you are Innerbloom certified, you are certified for life. We don’t believe in "renting" your credentials back to you. Your first year of community access and 24/7 mentorship is included in your tuition. After that, a small annual membership fee of $180 ($15/month) keeps you connected to our clinical updates and support network. No busy work, no "proving" your worth—just permanent professional status.
Do I need prior birth experience or can I start from scratch?
You can start from zero. We provide the physiological foundation and clinical literacy you need from the ground up. Whether you’ve seen a hundred births or none, we train you to the same elite standard.
I’ve already trained as a doula; will this teach me something new?
If your previous training left you feeling like a "ghost" in the hospital room, inadequate when supporting families in postpartum, or gave you zero clues on how to find a client, then yes. Is this certification recognized? What about insurance or DONA approval?
Yes, Innerbloom is a globally recognized professional certification. You can obtain professional liability insurance with our credentials. Regarding DONA: We are intentionally independent. Respectfully, being DONA approved means nothing. They are not the overlords and professional standard of birthwork. Plus, we don’t want to be "big box" approved because we are the alternative to their outdated models. We train to a higher standard of advocacy and business than traditional organizations require. Depending on your state, you can apply & be accepted for approval through insurances like Medicaid with our curriculum.
How much time does the program take? Is there a deadline?
There are no arbitrary deadlines. Some students powerhouse through the material in a month, others take a year. You have a full year of access to the curriculum, which can be extended with your annual membership fee.
What kind of support do I have after I graduate?
